(You Are Not an Accident)

造做你，又從你出胎造就你，並要幫助你的耶和華…(賽44:2a)

你的出生不是一項「錯誤」(mistake)，也不是一場「災難」(mishap)，更不是一件偶發事件(a fluke of nature)。你的出生乃是神的「安排」(plan)，也是神的「目的」(purpose)。你「存活」乃是因為神「定意」要創造你。(You are alive because God wanted to create you.)經上說︰耶和華必成全關乎我的事。(詩138:8) (The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me.)(NIV)

你的身體每個細節都是神的「精心策劃」(deliberately chose)，也是祂特別為你「量身訂做」(custom-made)的。經上說︰我在暗中受造，在地的深處被聯絡；那時，我的形體並不向你隱藏。(詩139:15)(You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.)(Msg)

在你父母還未孕育你的時候，你的生命早已在「神的意念中」成形。(Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God.)神造你是有「緣故」的。(God made you for a reason.) 祂也決定你的「生辰和歲數」，你的「國籍和種族」。經上說︰我未成形的體質，你的眼早已看見了；你所定的日子，我尚未度一日，你都寫在你的冊上了。(詩139:16)(You saw me  before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book !)(LB)經上說︰他從一本造出萬族的人，住在全地上，並且預先定準他們的年限和所住的疆界，(徒17:26)(From one man he made every nation, …and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.)(NIV)

神造你的「動機」(motive)是因為「祂愛你」，並視你為所有「受造物」(creation)中最寶貴的。經上說︰就如神從創立世界以前，在基督裡揀選了我們…(弗1:4)(Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love.)(Msg)經上說︰他按自己的旨意，用真道生了我們，叫我們在他所造的萬物中，好像初熟的果子。(雅1:18)(God decided to give us life through the word of truth so we might be the most important of all the things he made.)(NCV)

這個「宇宙」(cosmos)是一個整體，是為「人類」(mankind)生存而特別設計的。經上說︰創造諸天的耶和華，製造成全大地的  神，他創造堅定大地，並非使地荒涼，是要給人居住。(賽45:18)(God formed the earth…He did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited.)(GWT)

神造你是因為要顯明「祂的愛」，因為「神就是愛」。(約壹4:8)神的愛雖是「高深莫測」，卻是「根本可靠」的。(This kind of love is difficult to fathom, but it’s fundamentally reliable.)其實「三位一元」(the Trinity)的神並不寂寞，祂造你是要向你「表達」(express)祂的愛。你們自從生下，就蒙我保抱，自從出胎，便蒙我懷搋。直到你們年老，我仍這樣；直到你們髮白，我仍懷搋。經上說︰我已造作，也必保抱；我必懷抱，也必拯救。(賽46:3-4)(I have carried you since you were born; I have taken care of you from your birth. Even when you are old, I will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I made you and will take care of you.)(NCV)

結語︰只有當我們以神為生命的根據點，才能找到人生的意義和目的。(We discover that meaning and purpose only when we make God the reference point of our lives.)
