(A Place to Belong)

這樣，你們不在作外人和客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裡的人了。(弗2:19)

這家就是永生神的教會，真理的柱石和根基。(提前3:15b)

神不單要你相信 (believe)祂，也召你來歸屬(belong)於祂。神說︰那人獨居不好。(創2:18)我們受造，是為群體生活，與人相愛，建立家庭，共同完成神的目的。經上說︰我們是互為肢體(林前12:12)，同被建造(弗2:22)，同為後嗣(弗3:6)，一起被提(帖前4:17)。雖然你與基督的關係是個人的(personal)，但是神卻沒有想要讓這關係是隱密的 (private)。 經上說︰我們這許多人，在基督裡成為一身，互相聯絡作肢體。(羅12:5)保羅說︰作為教會的會員是要成為活的身體 的重要器官。 教會是個活體 (body)，不是棟建物 (building)；是有機體 (organism)，不是組織體 (organization)。經上說︰百節各按各職，照著各體的功用，彼此相助，便叫身體漸漸增長，在愛中建立自己。(弗4:16) 教會是神在世上的議程(agenda)，是永不毀滅，也是永遠長存。經上稱教會是基督的新婦 (bride)(林後11:2)(來19:7)，也是基督的身體 (body)(弗1:23)。

你的地區團契生活︰(Your Local Fellowship)

經上所指的教會大都是指地區性，可見的「群體」(congregation)。聖經稱那些「沒有參與教會的基督徒」，就好像是沒有身體的器官、沒有羊群的羊、沒有家庭的孩子，都是不正常的現象。 另外，有些基督徒，是屬靈孤兒(spiritual orphans)︰他們好像兔子信徒(bunny believers)一樣，從一間教會跳到另一間教會。他們沒有身份(identity)、沒有責任(accountablility)、也沒有委身(commitment)。

為何需要教會家庭︰(Why you Need a Church Family)

1.加入教會家庭表明你確實是真信徒 (A church family identifies you as a genuine believer.)耶穌說︰你們若有彼此相愛的心，眾人因此就認出你們是我的門徒了。(約13:35)

2.加入教會家庭使你不再是自我中心 (A church family moves you out of self-centered isolation.)保羅說︰一個肢體受苦，所有肢體一同受苦；一個肢體得榮耀，所有肢體一同快樂。(林前12:26)

3.加入教會家庭可以幫助你靈命增長 (A church family helps you develop spiritual muscle.)保羅說︰照著各體的功用，彼此相助，便叫身體漸漸增長，在愛中建立自己。(弗4:16)

4.加入教會家庭可以使你有服事機會 (The Body of Christ needs you.)保羅說︰聖靈顯在各人身上，是叫人得益處。(林前12:7)

5.加入教會家庭使你有份於傳揚福音 (You will share in Christ’s mission in the world.)保羅說︰我們原是…在基督耶穌裡造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所豫備叫我們行的。(弗2:10)

6.加入教會家庭可以避免你靈命退步 (A church family will help keep you from backsliding.)經上說︰總要…天天彼此相勸，免得你們中間有人被罪迷惑，心裡就剛硬了。(來3:13)

一切所需皆在教會︰ (It’s All in the Church.)

He created the church to meet your five deepest needs: a purpose to live for, people to live with, principles to live by, a profession to live out, and power to live on. God’s purposes for his church are identical to his five purposes for you: worship helps you focus on God, fellowship helps you face life’s problems, discipleship helps fortify your faith, ministry helps find your talents, evangelism helps fulfill your mission.

結語︰因委身基督成為基督徒，因委身信徒成為教會會員；前者帶來救恩，後者帶來團契。(You become a Christian by committing yourself to Christ, but you become a church member by committing yourself to a specific group of believers. The first decision brings salvation; the second brings fellowship.)
